Karrie Klimas, founder of Great Partnership Solutions, understands the challenges of professional growth from firsthand experience.
After 18 years as an executive and administrative assistant in the corporate world, Karrie found herself attending industry events and watching successful leaders take the stage. A question kept surfacing: "How can I create my own path?"
In December 2009, that question transformed from aspiration to necessity when Karrie's corporate position ended. At the time, she had been running a side business as a PartyLite consultant for five years, hosting home parties and attending industry conferences. While she enjoyed this entrepreneurial venture, something was missing—the strategic guidance to transform knowledge into action.
"The universe brought me a coach," Karrie shares, "who introduced me to a simple exercise that helped quiet my mind so I could focus my time and attention on creating a business that aligned with my skills and abilities."
This pivotal encounter marked the beginning of Karrie's personal development journey, a commitment she has maintained for over a decade. It was a significant investment—$2,500 on a credit card—but one that would fundamentally change her professional trajectory.
The Evolution of Great Partnership Solutions
Karrie's natural talent for connecting with people led to her first business venture, "Gift Problem Solver," where she refined her networking abilities and developed a reputation for building authentic relationships.
Her aptitude for fostering connections caught the attention of industry leaders, and in 2016, Karrie partnered with Self Discovery Life Mastery to co-lead an experiential communication workshop.
This collaboration, branded as "Great People Skills," allowed Karrie to guide individuals and professionals toward building their communication and presentation skills along with crafting their professional and personal vision, mission and goals for five years.
After parting ways with her business partners in September 2021, Karrie took a month to reflect on her experiences and envision how she could leverage her corporate background, entrepreneurial drive, and passion for serving others.
The result was Great Partnership Solutions— coaching and training services founded on Karrie's belief in purposeful achievement and dedicated support. Now over three years in, GPS continues to evolve as Karrie refines her approach and expands her impact.

"Think about it—these bands have been performing for 30+ years. Before they go on stage to play for an audience, what do they do first? They practice. They rehearse the same songs in different ways, adapting to new audiences and venues. But in life, we often don't take the time to practice before we 'go on stage,' even though every day puts us in the spotlight."
